A very fun and exciting event took place that I enjoyed very, very much. I will relay it to you here:
Yesterday, there was a presentation in Rudd (at 7) that consisted of a man from I-don't -know-where that spoke to the audience about flaws in Darwin's evolution theories and other things relating to the amazingness of intelligent design. Well, I went to the restroom before I went into the auditorium, and while I was washing my hands, I noticed the girl beside me using an enormous tube of chapstick. I commented on how I'd only seen one other person with chapstick like that. (Hey, Millie!) She opened right up and told me about how amazing the stuff is and where she got it and how good it feels on your lips, and, here, would you like to try some? "Well, sure!" So I tried of this stranger's chapstick, and it really was pretty good.
Another pretty memorable thing about the night was during the presentation itself. The speaker was a very excited man. His information was the most amazing thing for anyone to hear, and I could feel it. There was one part in his presentation where he was asking the crowd for an answer:"Yes, that's true... but there's something else... Yes, that, too...... (and here he finally gets the answer) YES! THAT'S IT!!!" He explodes with energy, reaches into a small sack of chocolate on his podium, and he chunks the chocolate toward the answer-giver's direction. He throws all of the chocolate he can at the audience with force. Yep, he throws the candy at the audience. Hard.
Today, I asked Nathan to the Christmas Banquet! Yay! Well, that's the main highlight of the day, and the ducks and fish down at the little river at the bottom Bryan Hill. That was ablast. And swings! And climbing trees!!! And picking up dead branches! And speaking of the most fun things: super powers! And even some talk about D and D. All good. All good.

After Thanksgiving
Things are going well. Nathan and I have been at my house and we're having a good time. My sister is still getting used to -us-, and I think it will take a while yet. At this very moment, Nathan is working on his plane ticket home! And Mom and Taylor are watching TV in the den. Speaking of, Shaun the Sheep has recently become a family icon... He came on very quickly.
Thanksgiving dinner was great. The usual: Roast turkey, mashed potato, cranberry sauce (both kinds), green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, and gravy. We also had egg nog and cider. I am glad that Nathan was with us for Thanksgiving, too. It was a little different this year, though, because we actually have many other people over at Thanksgiving. The Holbys went to their family's over in Alabama (and Peter's all the way in California, anyways), and the Langs had previous engagements, as did everyone else my family invited. Ah well. It was a quieter-than-usual Thanksgiving, and it was good. The day after Thanksgiving, Nathan, Mom, Taylor, and I went to go see Enchanted at the new theater and later, we all (Dad included) went to Callaway Gardens' Fantasy in Lights. It was cold.
And now it is today, and nothing incredibly entertaining has happened yet. So I will leave you now with some leftover cranberry sauce.

My Classes for next semester!!
By the way, I signed up for my classes for next semester on the fifth, the Monday of two weeks ago. I signed up for: New Testament & Literature (with Davis !!), Western Civ with Traylor, Elementary Spanish II, Oral Interpretation, Intermediate Stage Movement, Voice lesson, and Intro to Teaching English as a Second Language. I found out the next day that I didn't get into the TESL class. I was pretty upset, and I got to vent to Molly. We were kinda trading off with venting to each other at that time. Well, like an impatient little girl, I checked my eStudent schedule for next semester at least once every day. I checked with the Registrar to see if where I was on the waiting list. I was number three on the waiting list. What are the chances that three upper class men would drop the class so that I could get in it? After, I don't know, a week or so, I stopped checking my eStudent every day. Maybe just every other day. Well, I checked it on the fifteenth, this past Thursday, and I couldn't believe what I saw. Really, I did a few double-takes. I was in the class!!!! Oh, I was SO EXCITED!! I had to tell someone immediately! I went to Devon and Millie's room AND no one was there. ... So I went to find Molly in her room, but she wasn't there, either. But! Laura Funke WAS there, and I got to tell her, and my excitement had not died down one bit! There was much squealing and jumping! And later, I got to tell Millie, Devon, and Molly and Nathan. I'm very happy.
And thanks where thanks is due: Yippee! Thank you, GOD!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!

It's been good
Again, "How are you, Lindsay?"
"I'm good. No, really. I'm good. Classes have been good. I had four or so tests all clumped right together, and I did pretty well on all of them, and I'm glad that they're over. Of course, for some reason, they keep coming... I've got a Chemistry exam coming up soon that I need to strt preparing for. So it's been really nice this last week to not have tests to have to study for. In fact, it's been nice to have that time and the time that I would have had to devote to volleyball for, yep, spending time with great people. In this way, my first week dating Nathan did seem extra special. Also, I have gotten to reconnect with my girls, and that is so good.
Right now, I am off to the second weekly Senator luncheon which takes place at noon every Thursday. I'm off!
-Ah, I am back. I would also like to record the fact that the professors seemed to be especially nice this week because my interpersonal comm class was canceled, my Chemistry professor was out of town, so we had a grea sub who let us out after 13 minutes of class, and my Chemistry lab took half the time it usually does. So that's cool. Aaaand, it's all abotu PV=nRT right now, and I'm solid on that stuff! Yay!

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.
Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.
